:: MAN SET TO BREAK GUINNESS WORD RECORD BY PULLING A 4 TONNE VAN WITH
MEAT HOOKS THROUGH HIS BACK.

Hannibal Helmurto from the Infamous Circus of Horrors will endeavour to break
his
own Guinness world Record when he attempts to pull a 4 tonne van over 100 meters
along Princess St with only 2 meat hooks inserted through his back.

He first realised he had this unique skill when he helped a motorist who had got
his van stuck in mud in October last year. He found it was easier to pull the
truck
rather than push it.

He then recreated the stunt 2 days later & found himself in The Guinness Book of
Records. So on Monday 13th August Hannibal will try to break his own world
record
and pull the truck further than the 100 meters.

Helmut who hails from Germany first saw the Circus of Horrors in his home town
of
Munich where it was performing at the 1996 Tolwood Festival.

‘At the time I was working as a Tax Inspector for the German government. I did
not have one tattoo or piercing but after seeing the show I knew I had to join
it’
claimed Helmut.

So ten years later, Helmut arrived at the show while it was performing in London
with his body completely covered in over 200 tattoos, there is more ink on the
outside of his skin than blood running within it.

But that’s not all he has also had giant yo yos fitted inside his earlobes,
has
teath made of 40,000 year old Mamouth ivory and
had his tongue sliced with a laser to ensure it is forever forked.

He has taught himself an amazing act where he can insert huge hat pins through
his face, drink water and squirt it out of the holes, climb a ladder of swords &
suspend himself from just 2 meat hooks rammed through his back.

Needless to say, over a decade after falling in love with The Circus of Horrors
has has now achieved his dream and joined the show

It did however turn out to be a baptism of fire when skewered himself in front
of a
live audience in London.

Hannibal Helmurto who is the newest freak to join the infamous Circus Of Horrors
tried to force a 4 foot long sabre down his throat but due to to a infection to
his
larynx his sphincter failed to open correctly and the sword pierced the inside
of
his respiratory tract.

He was rushed to St George's hospital in Tooting where surgeons decided whether
or
not to operate, it was decided to leave the throat to repair itself & he was
kept
in intensive care under observation for 3 weeks but was unable to eat or drink.

The accident happened on the 2nd night of the tour in London in front of a
shocked
audience, one member of the public fainted and the interval had to be ex tended
to
3/4 hour while the paramedics arrived.

Helmurto has now however made a full recovery and has returned to the show in
time
for this amazing stunt in Princess Street EDINBURGH on Monday 13th August at
2pm.
