band this month - King Kong Crew (22nd Sept). They coming all the way from
Stockholm. They have an amazing sound. Great singers are so rare so we are
really

A hip hop jam band with reggae style keys, loose funky guitar, strong drumming
and
double bass with scratching from a DJ called the Asthmatic Astronaut! The MC
has a
unique Edinburgh flow that brings a flash of inspiring originality to the stage.

This 5-piece band have been creating a fuss for 2 years with their high-energy
funk
and soul. They have played at Glasgow venues such as The Arches, Stereo, Bar
Budda,
Oran Mor and have headlined at the Princes Street Gardens Ross Bandstand during
the
2004 Edinburgh Festival. They play all original songs, the mix of musical
ingredients is varied; funk, soul, jazz, Latin and rock

On Stage: Found + DJ Erik D'Viking
Found combine a delicate mix of influences from electronica, folk and garage
rock.
Since recording a radio session in the legendary Beatles Studio at Abbey Road,
appearing on BBC Scotland’s The Music Show, MTV Europe have shown the video for
their debut single. They describe their music as forward-thinking pop and have
been
compared to The Beta Band, Tortoise and Tom Waits. It may have guitars and its

One of the funkiest live bands in Sweden, King Kong Crew are a 5 piece with a

like no others - imagine D'Angelo fronting Bootsy Collins' band! It is delicate
urban soul with a psychedelic edge. King Kong Crew have been preaching their
Monkey
Movement in Sweden and abroad, they make regular appearances in top venues all
over
the UK and are regulars on the Stockholm live scene. They have one mission: To
save
our nation from the sterilization of civilisation.

This 7-piece Edinburgh based smooth Latin, soul, jazz and funk band make their
Jazz
Bar debut. With live percussion, horns and a rhythm section all being brought
together by their stunning female vocalist Lady Miss Emerald we expect this act
to
go down very well. Their demos bring together influences from new artists such
as
Nicola Conte and 4 Hero with classic examples such as Marvin Gaye and Prince.

fire. "Like an acoustic Groove Armada, Das Contras like their brass and breezy
