Spectrum returns to the Queen's Hall for a veritable feast of creative talent.
The
biannual mini-festival run by promoters Offline Events takes place on Sunday 4th
Nov
and features an array of performances, from full on live bands, acoustic and
laptop
acts, documentary films, multimedia performances and the Spectrum Market Place.

line up for Spectrum 5, kicking off at 4pm and in no particular order:
Annie Christian
Paul Gladwell
Hoochie Fig
The Constants
James Hara :: an acoustic, alternative songwriter.
Poor Edward :: an acoustic, altenative take in his own unique stlye.
Robotone Presents: Not only are Robotone bringing Shutter to the main stage but
have
two laptop electronic artist to finish the night up in the attic. Expect mellow
textures, blips and bleeps and also exciting visuals.
Araya :: Araya’s live laptop and synth set is a beautiful fusion of ambient, IDM
and
glitch with the occasional haunting Celtic melody thrown in for good measure.
Plexus :: This an ambient music producer from Inverness whose work is informed
by
the likes of Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Plaid and Boards of Canada.
Short Film & Multi-media :: Short films and documentarys will be shown in The
Attic
and come courtesy of Docspace and Zapatistas. The films will be shown between
3-4pm
and 8-9pm. Exact detail to follow..
Many of the bands will also have various projections and visuals on display
during
their set. Robotone will be performing visuals during the Shutter, Araya and
Plexus
sets and local video and film director Colin Usher presents films for The Graeme
Mearns Band.
A first for Spectrum is a sound installation :: More details on the artist and

The Spectrum Market Place :: should be bustling again this time with a variety
of
stall holders offering their wares.
