The Acoustic Affair at the Tron - Tron, 63 Trongate, Glasgow, G1 5BH. Tickets in person from the Tron Box Office. Call 0141 552 4267 or online from www.tron.co.uk Wednesday 4th June, 8pm, £12 Michael Marra
"To Dundonians, he's the troubador poet who has sculpted from the rhythms and accents of their city a songbook so comprehensive it should be required listening for anyone venturing over the Tay Bridge. To football fans he's the author of Hamish The Goalie, an ode in song to Hamish McAlpine, the legendary Dundee United stopper. And to connoisseurs of Scottish music he shares best kept secret status with people like Bert Jansch and Davy Graham. The essence of Marra's own oeuvre: part jazz, part blues; drawn around piano and guitar; rooted in that tradition of Celtic eloquence and hewn out of his mother tongue."

PM Music presents at Sleazys - Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow, G1. Tickets in the night Wed 18th June, 8pm, £6 Danse or Die with guests
A guitar band playing dance music, Danse or Die's brew of stomp to beat grooves and myriad synth effects have a shameless air of pomp-rawk and hip-shaking disco. They describe themselves as "Hyper-electro-disco-death-funk, though not necessarily in that order. Their influences stretch across genres and decades; from disco to techno, from soul to acid house, from funk to electro, and a nod towards new rave. www.myspace.com/danseordie Sat 21st June, 8pm, £6 Hardy Souls, Day of Days, Dead Generals Local indie rock with dance rock from Perth's Day of Days
PM Music presents at Stereo - Renfield Lane, Glasgow, G1. Tickets in the night Sat 14th June, 7.30pm, £6 The Skinflints with Raspberry Badger
Cumbernauld's art rockers Skinflints with local support Sat 21st June, 7.30pm, £6 Lowtide Revelry with guests As part if their tour Lowtide Revelry from Inverness play Stereo. Starting off powerfully with a tale of murder and violence, 'Mark of Cain', Steve Obern's menacing growl contrasted with Michelle Davidson's sweet but powerful voice – think Nick Cave's duet with Kylie Minogue 'Where the Wild Roses Grow', only with better voices and more sinister – before a climax which saw the eight piece band combine in a relentless driving sound that suited the song's brutal theme. Editor – Inverness Courier
PM Music presents at Barfly - Clydeside, Glasgow, G1. Tickets in the night Sat 14th June, 8pm, £6 Sinking Cities with guests
