#4 - GOTHAM EDINBURGH FIRST NIGHT REVIEWS

Gotham had a great first night with over 120 dressed-up
clubbers in attendance and will be on again on Sun Sept 07th.

'Gotham was fab, had a great time and .. Made some nice new
friends as well and had a laugh. A girl came up to me and said
it was the first time she had ever seen anything like that
before and it was amazing, which was rather funny.'

'Boggle boggle, bogglety boggle.'

'Nice atmosphere in club itself - it was old wine cellars,
very dungeony'

'Well, it happened. I had a great time, it was very well attended
and the venue was an interesting shape, I met some cool people.'

'Venue fantastic, I like the look.'

'The venue is superbly atmospheric, the club making use of
three staggered levels to offer a bar, dance-floor, stalls,
fetish cinema, and play area. First impressions are great,
with door-staff handing everyone little cards encouraging
them to play safely and read the rules and advice posted
around the club. The crowd seem to be exactly what Gotham
wanted to attract - friendly, young, alternative, fetish
/ goth crowd... It has the potential to be a fantastic
goth / fetish crossover club!'

'I enjoyed coming to the first GOTHAM and I would like to
come again. The place was amazing, lots of atmosphere. It
was a very warm night so the play room did get very warm,
being in such a small place. I would have used the playroom
a lot more but it was just too warm for us. Maybe somewhere with
a wee bit more room to swing the flogger might be a thought, as
its suprising how much room is needed so that passersby and
watchers dont unwittingly become participants lol. The cinema
was very interesting I really liked the clips that were
shown. My sub and I will be back if u could let me know when the
next one is that would be great. also send me a link to any yahoo
groups associated with it , I would appreciate it very much.'

'It was a very good night. The goths amongst us were well pleased.
Elaine's stuff was surreal. **** was impressed with the eclectic
mix of folks. The venue is great, and I think it will be a winner.
Hopefully see you at the next one.'

(NB: Owing to the nature of the night we are not attributing these
reviews, hopefully no-one will find them too out of context and
you will get the idea of what the club is about - its a dark goth -
industrial - fetish - bodyart, crossover night with lots of
alternative attitude ;-)
