Re: [NotFadeAway] Buddy Holly vs. Charles Hardin ????

I'm just guessing here, and I may be wrong. But I would think that early on in his career Buddy may have been on the fence as to what his "Professional Name" should be. You might notice that even the name Holly is different from his given name of Holley. That is attributed to a typo on an early contract. I have to admit I have thought about Buddy many times, and many ways over the years, but this question never occured to me. When I saw the name Charles Hardin, I just processed the info, and thought.....cool.....changing the given names around......cool.........

Just an aside, I may not be qualified to comment on questions like this, but this group is special to me. And I guess it's natural to jump with a response.....
