The Ocean State Parrot Head Club is an official club of the Parrot Heads in Paradise, Inc.Along with concerts, parties, regular meetings, and other social events, Parrot Heads are very active in community and environmental concerns. Clubs across the country are or have been involved in projects ranging from the "Adopt a Highway" cleanups to the "Save the Manatee" program. One club member said, "there is no better feeling than going out there and helping someone while having a ball doing it!" Well said!

The Rhode Island club was founded in April 1995 by Jon Lautieri. After passing out flyers saying he wanted to start a local club, a meeting was scheduled at the Dutch Inn in Narragansett. About six people showed up, not one really knowing what to expect! With the efforts of those initial members, the club was started and today boasts a member list of over 100 Parrot Heads!
The club has hosted many events and has had the opportunity to personally meet most of Jimmy Buffett's band members. Along with all the fun, though, has been the opportunity to help out some great causes!
