Hey, all you banjo fans!
I'm excited to announce that banjo maestro Clarke Beuhling will be performing in
a house concert in Mt. Lebanon, PA, on Wednesday, October 27 at 8:00 P.M.
Clarke Buehling is internationally known for old-time banjo and string band
music from jigs to rags. Much of his material is based on his collection of 19th
century banjo, mandolin and violin sheet music- including some that belonged to
Thomas Edison.
Clarke has performed across the U.S. and in Europe, and he was recently the
featured banjoist in a trio performing the works of Stephen Foster at Carnegie
Hall. He is the founder of the American Banjo Fraternity Orchestra, and he has
several of his own recordings. He is also the leader of the premiere concert
string band the Skirtlifters, who have recently returned from a European tour
and have just released their latest album, A Ragtime Episode. See their website
at http://www.theskirtlifters.com.
Clarke will also be offering private lessons here on the afternoon Sunday,
October 31.
For information or reservations for the Wednesday night concert or Sunday
private lessons, please reply to this email or call Annie at 412-343-0498
Hope you can come!
