Now is a good time to get an early start for next year on those things that you
didn't get done since last January:
Change strings on that fiddle, banjo, & guitar.
Maybe its time to get that bow rehaired, & buy some new rosin & picks
Learn some new tunes - it wouldn't kill you to learn 1 new tune before the end
of the year.
Make some good music resolutions: Plan to go to more jam sessions, concerts and
festivals this year.
Finally, if you have no place to go this holiday weekend, there's fine old time
music happening in Oil City, PA this Friday night.
Local Old Time group the Buffalo Birds Stringband, and legendary fiddle master
Bruce Molsky are both performing sets between 8 - 11 pm. Lots of fun activities
all over town as well.
Sat night Jan 1 go Cajun dancing! Grand Bon RIen plays at the Homestead BMNECC
Hall (Pittsburgh)
The deadline for early discount registration at the Calliope School (Pittsburgh)
is extended until Jan 7. New for this Winter: Fiddle Tunes of SW Pennsylvania
