Pittsburgh Still-Quite-Slow-But-Speeding-Up-Some-Jam

Happy New Year!

Bursting with resolutions for 2007? Determined to start playing
(slowly) again more often? Desperate to get away from all the other
stuff you've resolved to do?

Join us for the next Pittsburgh Old Time Really Pretty Slow
Although Those Banjos, Mandolins, Guitars and Basses Are Making The
Fiddles Work Jam, Sunday January 7th from 3 o'clock until the food
runs out (sometime after 5)!

Songs we intend to race a couple of fast-moving snails through
include: Angeline the Baker, Johnson
Boyz, Walking in the Parlor, Groundhog, Rock the Cradle Somebody, Old
Molly Hare, Sugar Hill, Liberty, Mississippi Sawyer, Ducks on the
Millpond, Soldier's Joy, Ashoken Farewell, Midnight on the Water,
Flop-Eared Mule, Whiskey Before Breakfast (hic), Quince Dillon's
High D Tune, St. Anne's Reel, Cluck Old Hen, Cold Frosty Morning,
Bell Cow, Sally Goodin, Juneapple, Ida Red, Johnny aka Sir John
Cope, Cripple Creek, Sourwood Mountain, Elzic's Farewell, Old Joe
Clark, Spotted Pony, Shady Grove, Georgia Railroad, Hop High Ladies, John
Henry,
Dick
Gossip's Reel, Road to Galway, Reel Des Accordeonistes (oh la la!), 8th of
January (give or take a day), Blue Mountain Waltz, Abe's Retreat,
Swallowtail
Jig and The Wall :D

If you don't see your favorites here, email us what they are and
we'll spread the word (and music) to practise on them so we can
play together.

We've rearranged the furniture and acquired more chairs, so don't
be shy--come join the fun! Beginners and newcomers warmly welcomed
=)

For driving directions, sheet music (including banjo tab and guitar
chords), beer list, baked goods menu, The Lesser Known New Year's
Resolutions of Famous Presidents (which, interestingly, include
attending more Old Time Jam sessions!), email us at
a2b@... or sgoodis@....
