hello,
I'm new in the OTMusicFriends group. My name is Clint Geller and I Iive in
Squirrel Hill. I am a physicist at a government lab, I am 53 years old and I
have been playing clawhammer banjo for about 3 and a half years. I have been
fairly dilligent about it. I can play about 60 or 70 tunes from memory, and I
have been working steadily on picking chords out of tunes, so I think I can make
a positive contribution to most jams. I am very interested in Old Time jamming
opportunities in the Pittsaburgh area. I would also like to find a small group
of individuals, say 4 to 7 other musicians, to play with on a regular basis and
perhaps even form a band. (Jamming is great fun, but actually rehearsing would
be wonderful!) I love to sing as well and I'm told I have a passable voice (in
the bass to baritone range). I can even sing a fair sea chanty, a related
interest of mine, if anyone is interested. I'd like to hear from Old Time
musicians with similar interests in jamming, or in getting together in a
smaller, slighlty more structured and stable group..
