Pittsburgh Old Time Slowish Jam
Palms been feeling fuzzy ever since the last full moon? Come make your fur and
fingers fly with us at the (more or less) fortnightly Pittsburgh Old Time
Slow(ish) Jam, on Sunday September 23, from 3 o'clock to 5 or 6 or whenever food
and beverages run out =)
Come at 2 o'clock if you'd like to play any of the songs over slowly before the
jam starts, and/or are interested in trading new tunes you picked up over the
summer. The early bird gets not ONLY the worm, but also first crack at the
foodstuffs and drink!
Songs we're not unlikely to play include: Angeline the Baker, Sugar Hill,
Liberty, Walking in the Parlor, Mississippi Sawyer, Rock the Cradle, Joe,
Sourwood Mtn, Cripple Creek, Elzik's Farewell, Old Joe Clark, Abe's Retreat,
Cold Frosty Morning, St Anne's Reel, Sally Goodin, Say, Darlin, Say, Sir John
Cope, Spotted Pony, Flop-Eared Mule, Juneapple, Cluck Old Hen, Ducks on the
Millpond, Shady Grove, Soldier's Joy, 8th of January, 28th of January, Whiskey
Before Breakfast, Over the Waterfall (in a barrel? Inquiring minds STILL want to
know!), Ashokan Farewell, Midnight on the Water, Cumberland Gap, Kitchen Girl,
Old Jimmy Sutton, Hawks and Eagles, Georgia Railroad, Red-haired Boy/Indian With
a Wooden Leg, Breaking Up Xmas, Sail Away Ladies, Needlecase, Jaybird, Amelia's
Waltz, Possum With A Bare Tail, Polly/Molly/Somebody, Put the Kettle On, All the
Way to Galway and Durang's Hornpipe.
We've got bunches of new songs to talk about adding to the repertory, too, so if
you don't see your favorites here, come prepared to lobby to have us play them
in the year ahead =)
For further details, driving directions and a handy list of time-tested reasons
as to why it's still FAR too early to rake the leaves up off the lawn, contact
us at

Come join the fun!
N.B. We have tons of lyrics available now, so singers come on out! Hamboners,
flatfooters welcome too!
