Hey Everyone,
My band(The Clear Creek Strinband) is playing at Grasso Roberto on July 18th. The Moonlighters will be opening. They have us down for a 3 hour time slot which we aren't going to fill so would any of you Old timers want to bring your instruments along and have a jam after we play? I think it could work out really well if the weather is nice!

I was waiting on YIV, but this past Sunday we found out that we can't have it there. And the current Sunday Jam is going to have to find a new place as well after next month. I'll keep you posted.

Justin,Has anything happened on the new fast jam initiative since your last post, below, on May 30? If YIV hasn't responded yet, I think it's probably time to look elsewhere.Clint Geller----- Original Message -----From: Justin LeCuyerSent: Saturday, May 30, 2009 2:23 PMSubject: Re: [OTMusicFriends:PA] new venue in BloomfieldHi Everyone,
We are right now waiting for Your Inner Vagabond to respond about having a second faster jam once a month on the first Thursday of the month. They only had tuesday and thursday available so we asked for thursday since Tuesday would interfere with the Bluegrass jam. Me or Heather will keep you all updated.
thanks

Well, we've been batting the idea of a faster OT jam in the Pittsburgh area around for a while. Probably someone should make a concrete proposal (time and location, format, etc.) and ask for expressions of interest, if we think there is a critical mass for a second jam. perhaps the person who started the discussion could take a whack at it? I personally favor the idea of either a full speed or a "half-fast" Old Time jam somewhere in Pittsburgh (e.g., Bloomfield or Lawrenceville) once a month (at least to start out), and I would be willing to help organize it.Clint----- Original Message -----From: ducdesavoie@...Sent: Wednesday, May 27, 2009 9:38 PMSubject: Re: [OTMusicFriends:PA] new venue in BloomfieldIs this in Pennsylvania? Don't forget that the listmembers are from all over, and there are more than one Bloomfield. Remember to give the State when you announce news.

Hi folks,
I have a cafe in Bloomfield that I would love to host a group. There is an outdoor patio that is wonderful in the warmer weather. We are open til 9 in the summer time and can move indoors in the winter. Located at 4709 Liberty avenue right across from St. Joe's church. Great coffee, delicious food and the best italian ice and gelato in pittsburgh! Let me know what ou think.
Dana
