lately...

Thanks,

***************************************************************

The Steam Powered Preservation Society is pleased to announce the
release of three new "Tut Tapes," as well as welcome three new
partners into the fold.

The SPPS was first organized to work on cataloging and digitizing the
vast collection of tapes recorded over the years by Tut Taylor. His
tapes include recordings of jam sessions, festival sets and outtakes
from his longtime radio program. In the latest featured release, you
will find little golden nuggets of bluegrass history with sets by
Jimmy & Jesse McReynolds and Jim Eanes. The Tut tapes are an
invaluable educational resource for those who are just learning to
play an instrument or for those who are interested in delving deeper
into the history of the genre. As always, this music can be
downloaded for free at the SPPS website. See
http://thespps.org/download.php for more information.

The SPPS continues its partnership program with the addition of
Boulder Acoustic Society and the Earl Brothers. The SPPS is truly
excited that both of these up-and-coming bands agreed to team up with
us in our efforts. Check out the fantastic Earl Brothers recordings
from the Plough and Stars in San Francisco and the Pickathon Festival
in Oregon, and the swingin' Boulder Acoustic Society show recorded at
the Rail in Fort Collins, CO. Joining the SPPS fledgling venue
partner program is the Little Church in the Pines, a tiny all-acoustic
venue in the mountains outside of Boulder, CO, where all the coolest
roots musicians have been playing lately. Visit the SPPS partners on
the web at http://thespps.org/partners.php.

The Steam Powered Preservation Society is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit
organization dedicated to preserving and promoting American roots
music. If you are interested in helping the cause, contact us at
info@....

Best wishes and season's greetings from the SPPS Board of Directors!
Enjoy the music!
