OT Jam Protocol   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #1940 of 1992 |
First day in town and I'm starting off with a pretty elementary question.
A miscommunication during a jam session has prompted me to get online
and look around for a "list" of protocols for Old Time Jammin? What is
the best seating? What about tune selection? Who decides? Does is
start with a small circle? a large one? What works best? I have my
personal preferences, but am interested in others opinion. I was
trying to search online to find guidelines, but don't seem to be able
to put my hands on past published or written articles on the subject.
I am not looking for a satirical list - I think I have that one! : )
I am looking for some tried and true guidelines and suggestions on
making the OT Jam enjoyable for beginners and experienced players
alike. I would like to have ideas and suggestions -
Keep fiddlin!
