Welcome to the Orchestra Library Information (OLI) Yahoo Group, an online forum for small and mid-budget regional,community and university orchestra libraries. On this site, members are encouraged to post questions about how to find the publisher, instrumentation, duration, percussion instruments required, and any other details they may need about any classical composition.

This group accepts members who are serious students of the profession and are, or wish to be an orchestra librarian, and those who will be able to help their orchestras by obtaining information about the profession of orchestra librarian.

OLI members are encouraged to post questions and information that would be of interest to performance librarians.

Please note that due to copyright law, we do not allow requests for parts of music under copyright protection to be posted on OLI. You may ask someone to loan or sell the original part for PD music to your orchestra. The member posting is solely responsible for determining the copyright status of the publication. If the listserve discovers or has knowledge of the copyright status, the moderators may preliminarily remove the post.
