here's what's happening:
as of two weeks ago, i now once again find myself unemployed. the
company i had been working for since january is in a rough financial
patch and i was laid off.
however, this isn't as terrible as it could have been, and i actually
feel pretty lucky to have jumped ship before the whole thing starts
going under (a couple of other designers saw the iceberg coming and left
a few weeks before i was let go).
in any case, i now have more time to attend to other matters.
i have moved my studio setup and the label operations to LAST STOP
(http://www.myspace.com/laststoprr), and have slowly begun the process
of filling the huge pile of orders that have been sitting for several
months now (along with more recent orders).
i finally packed up copies of the love is nothing chapter II cdrs, and
will be shipping them alone without WHEN I HAD CUT IT ENOUGH..., because
once again, the printer fucked up my layouts, and the 3inch discs that
matthew from OBJECTIVE/SUBJECTIVE donated to me for the release don't
work well with my duplicator (a failure rate of 5 out of every 7 burns).
therefore, the release will be on full-sized discs, and will be delayed
just a bit longer while i try to find a more reliable printer (my local
choices are very slim).
all other orders have already started to go out, and things should move
with much more efficiency now that i am set up in the new space.

the annihilvs and leechnest sites happened to go down at what turned out
to be a very inopportune moment (is there ever really a good time for
one's sites to go down?), but things seem to be back in working order
now, though i am currently unable to access the server via ftp, so can't
make any changes to the sites.

it seems nothing can ever be easy, though i suppose life would be pretty
boring that way, but how i would love to be bored for a while...
