having held previous appointments in Toronto as Director of Music Ministries
at Timothy Eaton Memorial Church and Associate Organist and Choral Director
at the Cathedral Church of St. James. In September 2003 Michael returns to

He was the first Canadian to win First Prize in the 1986 International Organ
Competition at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and to receive the top
prize at the 1992 IX. International J.S. Bach Organ Competition held in
Leipzig, Germany. Michael enjoys a varied life as chamber musician and solo
performer having made appearances in Europe, Japan, the US. and throughout
Canada. His US appearances have included performances at the Cadet Chapel,
West Point, the Cleveland Museum of Art, St. Paul's Cathedral, Detroit, as
well as Chicago's famed Fourth Presbyterian Church.

Increasingly, Michael is making a mark in the area of promoting healthy
