Sunday night at the Hollywood Bowl, I saw Patti Austin as part of
Norman Brown's Quiet Storm Band. The show featured: Najee', Four
Play, Michael Franks and Norman Brown's Quiet Storm Band (Paul Taylor,
Alex Bougoun and Patti Austin.)

Najee was okay, Michael Franks was okay, but Four Play and Patti
Austin brought the house down! As part of Norman Brown's group, Patti
only got to sing three songs. I say kick Najee or Franks off the tour
and put Patti in with her own set and band! There is no way Patti
should be second fiddle to Norman Brown. By no means is that a knock
on Brown or anyone else, but patti (as most of you already know,)
gave a knockout performance. She is all of that a more!
