Hi all

There are four new free classical piano sheet music downloads available
on www.rfkharris.com - and all are Grade 1 or 2 standard, to help
beginner pianists, kids, anyone who's fed up with more complex
arrangements!

The pieces are simple piano versions of classical faves: Bach's Jesu
Joy Of Man's Desiring; Bizet's Toreador Song from Carmen; Dvorak's
Humoresque; and Handel's Arrival Of The Queen Of Sheba.

Best wishes

Those from the UK might remember a programme called 'Pot Black', TV's
first snooker programme. It had a wonderful ragtime theme, which I've
managed to research and now arrange, and it's now available as free
piano music on www.rfkharris.com. It's called 'Black And White Rag', by
George Botsford - one of those rare rags that's not by Scott Joplin.

Speaking of which, however, Joplin's Maple Leaf Rag is also newly on
the site, along with Keith Jarrett's 'My Wild Irish Rose' (a beautiful
jazz ballad) and a perennial favourite, The Animals' 'House Of The
Rising Sun' (which happens to be based on a traditional folk song.)

Happy Christmas to all,
Richard

Four new arrangements on www.rfkharris.com and no jazzers this time...
we have Rachmaninov (3rd piano concerto - the opening only, and
mercifully simplified), Orff (Carmina Burana - what else!?), Prokofiev

beautiful 'Dido's Lament', in a piano/vocal arrangement.)

theme from 'New York New York' (final modulation included); Lalo
Schifrin's cult theme to 'Bullitt', and a great jazz arrangement by D.

There's a new project in the air - an organisation of all sheet music
online. I can't say any more at the moment but the effect on
www.rfkharris.com was a reorganisation of the site and its sheet music
contents. More on this when the organisations concerned report on their
progress, in which I'm involved, but www.rfkharris.com will continue
unaffected, and will later develop.

Four new(ish) jazz pieces available for download, all of which made a
brief visit at one point before, but are now up permanently: Bill
Evans's 'Haunted Heart', Cole Porter's 'I Get A Kick Out Of You',
Gershwin's 'Summertime', and Nina Simone's 'My Baby Just Cares For Me'.

Want to play any of them in a different way, not just for piano solo?
Get in touch! It can be done.

Best to all,
Richard

Dear all

There are 4 new pieces available to download for free on
www.rfkharris.com - 2 famous themes and 2 great, more obscure classical
pieces.

The themes are James Bond and Lord Of The Rings, in note-accurate piano
transcriptions. The two classical pieces are Glinka's Mazurka and the
Ukrainian Folk Song by Kabalevsky, a lovely tune upon which the
composer went on to base seven variations.

Best wishes!

Dear all

Another four piano pieces ready to be downloaded for free from
www.rfkharris.com, and not one classical piece this time, as I look to
broaden things out a bit.

This time on the jazz front we have Cole Porter's 'I Get A Kick Out Of
You', in an easyish arrangement: on the pop front we have Fats
Domino's 'Blueberry Hill', similarly: on the film front we have a mega-
easy arrangement of John Williams' Harry Potter theme, and on the
miscellaneous front we have an advanced transcription of Gary Marlin's
incredible piano treatment of 'Chopsticks', from 'The Best of The
Marlins'.

As ever, if it's not quite right for you, it will only cost £5 to get a
personalised copy - instrument, key, difficulty, YOU choose.

Best to all,
Richard

Hi all

There are 4 new free piano pieces to download from rfkharris.com, and
none of them are arrangements of Christmas carols neither.

Instead we have a couple of pieces at Grade 1-2 level, as it's about
time beginner pianists were nicely served: Boccherini's famous Minuet
(as featured in the Ealing film 'The Ladykillers'), and another
helping of Hans 'Gladiator' Zimmer - this time the theme to Pirates
of the Caribbean (as demanded by every single one of the kids I
teach.)

Completing the four are another 2 pieces: a proper piano arrangement
(not just the top tinkly bit!) of Mike Oldfield's legendary Tubular
Bells, as featured in 'The Exorcist', and a jazz number - Glenn
Miller's famous and beautiful Moonlight Serenade, both at
intermediate level.

Happy Christmas to everyone!

Hi everyone

There are four great new piano pieces to download for free from
rfkharris.com! They are:
1. A beautiful jazz arrangement of the famous carol 'The Christmas
Song' (the one that goes 'chestnuts roasting on an open fire'...) by
D.P.McKenna, painstakingly transcribed by yours truly.
2. The cult theme to the film 'Get Carter' - including all the solo
material - by Roy Budd.
3. The brilliant and famous 'Dance of the Knights' by Prokofiev, from
Romeo and Juliet, in a rare complete piano arrangement.
4. Another cult piece of music - this time the iconic main theme
to 'Gladiator', by Hans Zimmer.
As ever, all of these pieces can be personalised and e-mailed to you,
with a choice of instrument, difficulty level and/or key, for just £5.

Best wishes to all!

Hello to all

It's that time again - there are four new free piano pieces to
download from rfkharris.com!

The first is the theme to 'Bullitt', by Lalo Schifrin - he of Mission
Impossible fame. This is another great theme by Schifrin, here in a
piano arrangement. Next up is a piano and vocal arrangement of Nina
Simone's 'My Baby Just Cares For Me', a classic song, including the
whole central piano solo.

Following this we have 2 under-rated classical piano pieces, in their
original form - 'Lied Aus Der Creuse', by Franck, and Prelude Op.11
No.9 by Scriabin. A couple of favourites which I hope people will get
to know a whole lot better.

As ever, any of these pieces (and the others) can be personalised
with choice of instrument/s, difficulty level and key, for just £5 -
same day e-mail / postal service, with optional free MP3 thrown in.

Cheers!

Hi all

There are four new piano pieces to download for free from
rfkharris.com! They are:
1. An arrangement of the famous Allegri Miserere. This is the piece
whose beauty was such that in c.1630 the pope himself forbade anybody
from making a copy of it, until an intrigued Mozart came along and
memorised it all by ear in one hearing.
2. Borodin's Polovetsian Dance, from Prince Igor - a famous and well-
loved violin tune arranged for piano.
3. An arrangement of the last movement of Haydn's Drumroll Symphony.
This was Haydn's favourite symphony of all the ones he wrote - not
bad, because he composed 104 (this is the 103rd.)
4. An arrangement of the glorious Adagio movement of Mozart's
Clarinet Concerto, recently voted (by the UK's Classic FM poll) as
the favourite classical piece of all time.
As ever, all of these pieces can be personalised in their arrangement
(instrument, difficulty, key) for just £5.

Best wishes!
