Dear Phideauxians,
my CD arrived today :-)
Grateful acknowledgements to (...) Sal Pichireddu :-D - that's me!
First: Congratulations to the artwork ... it looks really "nice" (read well done - because the pics are a little frightening), sci-fi meets dystopia. I listened to it a couple of times and really must say - this is different. Not totally, but - less "symphonic" than Doomsday Afternoon, calmer than any album before and a charming mixture of folk, rock, musical, psychedelic and ... well Phideaux obviously. As usual, I love LOVE L O V E Valerie Garcious' vocals (I really love her voice, did I mention it before?). In general: Remarkable vocals and vocal arrangements. My favorite song "Storia senti" is in "Italian" and veeeery charming for me as native speaker. Well... good luck there's a translation in the booklet, that tells me what it should say. It is a very special italian - but then: We don't want to tallk about anybodies attempts to write lyrics in a foreign language. I love Phideauxs accent :-) Does anybody know David Bowies italian version of "Space Oddity" - well Signor Phideaux X. sounds very much alike the young Bowie when he sings in italian - and then, "Storia senti" is soooo Seventies :-) Check it out ... well, I'm sure you have or you will,
Sal
