Philly_Ambient is a discussion and announcement list for projects, artists, events, and more, which can be classified as ambient, experimental, space, psychedelic, noise, electronic, IDM, glitch, and the like. While nationwide and worldwide projects, artists, etc. are of interest, event announcements should be kept relevant to the Philadelphia/NJ/DE area, with occasional announcements about events elsewhere.

Many people will recall fondly the Philly_Ambient list that Aharon Varady ran on the Phobos server. While Phobos experiences technical difficulties, Yahoo! is the home of Philly_Ambient.

All people who are interested in the topics and genres mentioned above are welcome to subscribe. Subscription to the Phobos list is not a pre-requisite for joining the Yahoo! group.
