I heard about Podunk from my best friend Jennifer, she saw them 2
times, once in Anaheim and then again in Las Vegas, she said they
were awesome and they would be going really far. She is right I was
totally amazed by the sound they have, this band is going to very far.
Keep up the great job guys. I am telling everyone I know about this
amazing band. I cant say enough to promote them. I want to thank
Jennifer, my best friend, for letting me know about Podunk. I am
really glad she did. Omg what I would have missed if she hadnt.

This was I believe the 3rd show at Momo’s and the first one where the tables
near the stage remained as they began playing. In the past the first row of
tables were removed or moved back to make room for people to stand in front of
the stage. I wasn’t going to let the tables get in the way of me standing in
front of the stage. A set list wasn’t used so I wrote down the songs as they
were played:
Killing Day
Let It Rain
Family
Wings
By Yourself
Mockingbird
Smile
Better Days
The Creeper
Roll On
Catch The Bus
Glad You’re Gone
I’ll Never Be The Same
Dashboard Mary
I was not and still am not feeling well, I’m suffering from allergies. Mold I
live with year round and this is cedar season, which began earlier this week.
I didn’t let that take away from my enjoyment. I L-O-V-E Podunk’s music and
thoroughly enjoy every moment I get to see them perform. Since early August
with their new line-up they have torn-up every stage they have performed on.
This night was no different. From the first song "Killing Day" which started
at midnight until the last song "Dashboard Mary" which ended just after 2am
they were ON! Danny (keyboard player) provided the comic relief as always.
Because they didn’t have a set list they sometimes "huddled" to choose which
song they would play next. They haven’t played "Better Days" a whole lot
lately and I enjoyed it immensely. Another pleasant surprise was "Catch The
Bus". I always love to ROCK along with that song. Jason used his talk box
during "Glad You’re Gone" and there was some tambourine silliness during the
song. Danny handed Jason his tambourine just before Danny began his keyboard
solo. Later in the song after Jason’s talk box session Duncan passed the
tambourine to Jason in a football hike style (between his legs). Yes, I guess
you can say these guys have consumed a lot of alcohol and were a bit drunk.
They jammed during the last three songs, which lasted 30 minutes. Just before
they started "Dashboard Mary" Jason introduced the band starting with Duncan
Isenhower, then "the amazing" Danny Smith, then Brian Hays and Paul Soroski.
It was Danny who introduced Jason Touchette. They did their "Southside"
routine during the song keeping it short. Since it was after 2am the Momo’s
employees wanted to clear the place so they could close. I needed to catch a
bus (and then taxi) to get home so I said bye to Jason and everybody else was
busy talking with other people so I left.
Usually on New Years Eve there’s just one place I spend the evening but this
year there are 3 different places on 6th Street that I want to be. On most
weekend nights hitting three different places to see bands is no problem for me
because I don’t want to miss seeing any of my favorite bands. I’ll probably
have to skip seeing Truepenny at the Hard Rock Café so I can catch the show at
the Vibe (ultrasonic, Canvas, Pushmonkey and Vallejo) and Podunk across the
street at Bigsby’s. Right now I’m not sure where I’m going to be at THAT
moment (I still have 4 days to decide) although it’ll probably be with Podunk.
I HOPE that everyone has a wonderful and safe New Years celebration!
Doreen

Hello everyone,
I decided it’s time I write a show review. I know it’s been a while so I went
back through this Groups messages to see just when I last wrote and posted a
review. It’s been over 2 years and they are Messages 434 & 435 which were
posted on September 14, 2001 just 3 days after "9-11". Back then this Group
was a Club. I liked (and still do) Clubs better than Groups and hoped that the
conversion would never take place. I guess it was a combination of the Clubs
to Groups change and the fact that I had less spare time that kept me from
writing reviews along with my involvement with other great bands. There hasn’t
been much activity in this Group since the conversion, at least not as much as
what used to be in the Club. I have always intended to write reviews of every
show I’ve been to. When Podunk didn’t use a set list at a show I would write
down the songs performed. Well, I did have good intentions. I’ll start
working on the review of the Momo’s show last night as soon as I post this
message.
On Christmas Day I sent a Holiday Greeting to what I thought was all my Groups.
Today I discovered that I missed this Group. Here is what I sent:
Subject: Merry Christmas
Hello everyone,
Today is the day that we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. "For
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Thank You God!
I HOPE that you are as HAPPY as I am today and everyday. It is my FAITH that
keeps me Happy and I am Thankful for Everything that I have. I know that God
is taking care of me and for that I am grateful. I hope that you are where you
want to be today both physically and spiritually and that have your every wish
comes true.
Love and God Bless,
Doreen

enhanced by it - likewise a weak faith is weakened by predicament and
catastrophes whereas a strong faith is strengthened by them."

I believe you can contact him from www.podunkrocks.com by emailing
the webmaster matt or leave him a message on the talk box (bulletin
board)

The boys really don't talk online unless you catch them on an
instant messenger. They are really busy when they are not on the
road. Thank you for your support and we'll see you at the shows.
The Fireant (Brian Hays girlfriend) LOL =)
