FRIGHTDOLL "REFERENCE VERSION"
If you take a look at the contemporary electro-scene today, without doubt there never have been so many acts which try to compete - but in the end just offer the same old clichés. They simply lack one important element: personality.

So if you're looking for personality, why not lend FrightDoll an ear?

"More 'Fright' than 'Doll'" is a description that fits perfectly for the young female from Fort Lauderdale/Florida – an extraordinary artist.

She began writing music at the age of 8, expanded her musical talent to her sound of today and does not fit into the picture of the typical female Gothic-Doll miming behind some keyboard dummies.

With her debut-album "Reference Version", FrightDoll demonstrates that the so called "Future Pop" is no longer a domain ruled by male musicians only. Minimalistic electronics, enriched with subtle arrangements, floating, impressive songs, seductive melodies and demanding beats – all this topped by her charismatic, lascivious voice - transfer her songs into timeless treasures.

Her haunting aura can be felt in every song, either in the more experimental, darker tracks like "Neutrino Glaze", the reflective "Gravity", or in the up-tempo dancefloor-fillers "Automated" and "Strange".

All songs in common are FrightDoll's very personal view of life and existence, what we perceive as reality and our understanding of experiences, the interaction between self-conscious and modern technology.

FrightDoll describes her career as a musician as a constant learning process, yet she has already defined her distinctive style in a very impressive way.

She possesses the needful warmness and intimacy, but also the needful distance and artistic vision that let her music melt into an experience that demands the listener's ear, heart, and spirit. Released on FrightDoll Records and available August 16th, 2007.

KIFOTH "ACERBITY TORRENT"
In spring 1993, K-head (composing, programming, sampling and acoustic performance) joined forces with Mir Colon (lyrics, vocals, sampling and programming) to form KNEEL IN FRONT OF THE EXECUTIONER. They made their first live appearance in March 1995, and released their first live-tape "First Time Public" a few weeks later. In 1996, KIFOTH released their demo debut "Civilizative Collapse" and it was shortly followed by their second and last demo album "Ebola"(which was re-released by Vuz Records in 1994 to mark the band's 10th anniversary celebration).

The overwhelmingly positive reviews have prompted KIFOTH to start recording their first official album. "Spectaclebreakers" was released in early 1999 on Slovak label Front Music, and licensed to Germany's powerhouse electronic indie label Out of Line. A few months later, KIFOTH toured middle Europe with Hocico and made their debut appearance at Wave Gothic Treffen. In 2001, the band released their second album "Fundamentum Divisionis" and toured extensively throughout Europe. In 2002, KIFOTH's career was put on hold due to Mir Colon's tragic car accident.

After an agonizingly long hiatus, the band is set to return with a vengeance! "Acerbity Torrent" offers over 70 minutes of relentless electronic assault, perfectly blending the purest elements of old school EBM, authentic dark elektro and technoid beats. Gems such as "Proper Behavior", "Candle", and "Tyranny" will stir up the attention of young electro fans and bring back a flood of memories to anyone who actually lived through the glory days of old school electro. The album also features an infectious remix of "Proper Behavior" by the rising neo-old school act, Severe Illusion. Released on Vendetta and available August 20th, 2007.

BRAIN LEISURE "METHODS TO MADNESS - LIMITED"
Brain Leisure is a one man dark elektro project hailing from France. In the late 80's and early 90's, Dominique Debert was heavily influenced by Skinny Puppy, Frontline Assembly, Numb, the Klinik, Vomito Negro and last but not least Leaether Strip. He recorded his first (and last) demo No TV Sketches, Realities of Fight in 1992. The highly sought after tape received positive reviews from the alternative music press, and served as a prelude to Brain Leisure's participation on 1993's classic electro compilations Blood & Computers 1 (Paradise Movement) and French/Belgium Industries-Fabriquations 1 (Machinery Records). In 1994, Hard Records released Brain Leisure's critically acclaimed debut Mindfire. Recognized for its intricate, multi-layered programming and excellent songwriting. The album features the instant club hits "Teknology", "Million Faces", "Deadful Hate", "Never Trust A Smile" and "Beyond the Limits". Brain Leisure's amazing remixes for Wumpscut have propelled the band to the forefront of the alternative electronic scene, with legions of rivetheads anxiously awaiting new material. Plagued by personal problems, Dominique was forced to retreat from the scene only to return stronger than ever. In 2006, Brain Leisure staged a remarkable comeback and contributed amazing remixes to Tyske Ludder's Sojus and Grandchaos' In Sedens. The two tracks offer some promising glimpses of what is yet to come. Vendetta Music is proud to announce the release of Brain Leisure's much anticipated second album Methods to Madness. Songs such as "Defect", "Crawl In Vain", "Resistance", "Behind the Mask" and "My Punishment" are going to take the electro scene by storm. The limited edition double CD features updated versions of "Never Trust A Smile", "Beyond the Limits" and "Deadful Hate" as well as remixes by top notch electro acts such as Wumpscut, Velvet Acid Christ, Dismantled, Tyske Ludder, Trial, K.I.F.O.T.H, Last Influence of Brain, IC434 and many more. REVOLUTION STATE "VS. NOIZEKATT"
Revolution State was founded by Ben P. and Bonnie P. in the fall of the year 2000. In 2003 they contributed two songs to the Velvet Acid Christ album Hex Angel: Utopia Dystopia, "Misery", and "Eva". The tracks were well received by fans and critics alike, and IGN.com even praised "Eva", calling it "a quasi-instrumental minimalist piece that is evocative of Coil's Musick to Play in the Dark that shows a softer, almost ambient, side to VAC." These Velvet Acid Christ tracks, as well as the tracks previously written by the band laid the ground work for the Revolution State sound: a blend of elements from dark electro, idm, and power noise that allow for a unique and varied listening experience. In the spring of 2005 Ben and Bonnie formed their noisy ebm project Noizekatt, showcasing Bonnie's vocals with driving distorted rhythms and aggressive synths. Although Noizekatt was originally a live only project, it soon became an official second project. In June 2006 the Revolution State track "Deny" received recognition through a compilation appearance on Endzeit Bunkertracks Act 2, released by the Belgian Alfa-Matrix label. In August of the same year, Revolution State contributed two amazing remixes to Velvet Acid Christ's "Wound" single: "Wound (Legacy of the Revolution)", and "Ghost Regen (Fractured Coils Version)". "Wound" ranked on the Deutsch Alternative Chart's singles chart for seven weeks and held the 1 position for four weeks. In October Revolution State contributed an ethereal dance remix of the song "Demon Breeder" to Neikka RPM's album The Rise of the Thirteenth Serpent. Revolution State vs. Noizekatt is the debut CD for both projects. It is a full length CD which contains five tracks by Revolution State, and five tracks by Noizekatt, which gives the listener an opportunity to hear the best of both projects on one CD. The first five tracks of the CD feature the intelligent electro-industrial of Revolution State, which pair a full and textural sonic landscape and complex custom made rhythms with the emotional and politically aggressive vocal of Ben P., and the sweet robotic voice of Bonnie P. The last five tracks of the CD feature the "terror clash" of Noizekatt, a genre name coined by Bryan Erickson of Velvet Acid Christ specifically for the Noizekatt project, and combine a distorted rhythmic assault and minimal analog electronics with Bonnie P.'s endearing avant-garde growl. Released on Vendetta and available August 20th, 2007.

RAPOON "ALIEN GLYPH MORPHOLOGY - CD"
Starting in 2005 with a DVD that came with 20 large Tarot-style postcards, and continuing in 2006 with a double 10 inch LP presented in an elaborately decorated wooden cover, Rapoon returns with the final chapter of his "Alien Glyph Morpholgy" tryptich, a limited edition CD presented in a hand-made tiger-print folder. As with nearly every Soleilmoon release, this CD is a collectable art object, and indeed, like snowflakes, no two are exactly the same. Compared with the vinyl edition, two tracks are extended in length, and a previously unavailable song, "Condensed Nightmares" has been added as a bonus track.

Robin Storey is well known in ambient music circles for his extensive catalog of recordings, presently exceeding 40 albums, singles and collaborative projects released over the last 13 years.

Aliens, ancient glyphs, UFO's, man's search for meaning in a world where there is none, just one aspect of the human condition. I hope my work is about "being human" with all its faults, frailties, hopes, dreams, disasters, loves, hates and complexities. There are no answers, just more questions. –Robin Storey. Released on Soleilmoon and available September 7th, 2007.

Limited edition of 400 copies in hand-made tiger-print folder.

REFORMED FACTION (ROBIN STOREY & MARK SPYBEY) "THE WAR AGAINST"
Handmade silkscreened minibox with postcards

It may be difficult for some to acknowledge, but the cold war is over. In its place: PEOPLE. We have chosen to create new folk devils and to instill new, more insidious moral panics as a consequence. The War Against what or who?
Reformed Faction is a new band featuring Robin Storey and Mark Spybey. "The War Against..." is their second CD, following "Vota" (KIanggalerie, 2006). This new album was cultivated from hours of improvisations made whilst watching Werner Herzog movies and drinking red wine. Spybey would record Storey and then manipulate the sounds, combining rough mixes of the pieces with sounds of his own. Although the most of the music was recorded over the course of a weekend, it took several months to assemble the album. Themes from the recording sessions were played in live concerts and then reworked for the final version of the album.
"The War Against" is presented in a lavishly produced cardboard minibox with pictures featuring postcards of artwork by the band. It is limited to 400 copies, and closely resembles the packaging for Rapoon's "From Shadows Sleep" CD, released in 2006.

Robin Storey was born in 1955 in Cumbria, England. He studied fine arts at Sunderland University and took classes in electronic and experimental composition, joining with friends to perform the works of Karlhinz Stockhausen. In 1979 Storey formed the pioneering industrial group :zoviet*france:, remaining a member until 1992, when he departed to form Rapoon. Recording and touring as a solo artist, he his first release was "Dream Circle", an entrancing fusion of Indian ragas, African rhythms and experimental textures that anticipated the evocative soundscapes of the many releases to follow. Also a noted visual artist and animator, Storey's work has been exhibited around the world and is in the collections of many major galleries.

Mark Spybey was born in North Yorkshire, England in 1961. He is a therapist in the field of mental health care, but has long had an interest in experimental music, and was a member of :zoviet*france: from 1987 to 1989. After leaving the band he moved to Canada and worked under the names Dead Voices on Air and Propeller. He collaborated widely, toured and was vocalist in the acclaimed band Download (ex-Skinny Puppy). He was also a member of Sofortkontakat!, led by the late Michael Karoli of Can, and participated in Can's 30th anniversary shows 1999/2000. Spybey has worked with a variety of artists who inspired his music, including Damo Suzuki (Can), Faust, Michael Rother (Neu!, Harmonia and Kraftwerk), Dieter Moebius (Cluster and Harmonia), Genesis P. Orridge (Throbbing Gristle and Psychic TV), and The Legendary Pink Dots. He returned to England in 2000. Released on Soleilmoon and available September 7th, 2007.

NETHERWORLD "KALL: THE ABYSS WHERE DREAMS FALL"
NOW SHIPPING!!
Always concerned with pushing even further its explorations on the side of ‘’drone’’ drifts, angleREC adds to its parallel series, that is the MONDES ELLIPTIQUES label, a new release in the form of the first official CD production of Italian project NETHERWORLD. This CD has the rather evocative title of ''KALL - The Abyss Where Dreams Fall''. Alessandro Tedeschi’s project previously gained a fair share of attention with CDR or mini-CDR releases on fine labels such as UMBRA, GEARS OF SAND, TAALEM/KOKESHIDISK! Alessandro also runs the GLACIAL MOVEMENTS label, which gave us, in 2006, the acclaimed CRYOSPHERE compilation. In a tradition that is anchored, at the same time, in avant-garde, ritual soundz and dark ambient, with a typically Italian touch, NETHERWORLD gives a peculiarly and elegantly organic and palpable feel to sounds that, in the hands of others, would maybe fall flat …and it is as if the sound universe conjured by the magic of NETHERWORLD was strangely…how could one say? OCCUPIED. Each moment, each twist and turn of this sound adventure bears infinite richness and elasticity, at all times …those are rather ‘busy’ sound layers but each of the elements has sufficient breathing space and can differentiate itself from the other surrounding components. This antagonism represents one of NETHERWORLD’s greatest strengths. Another noteworthy antagonism: this tendency to propose us ambiences that are excessively introspective, subdued, withdrawn into themselves, but which, at the same time, expand, subtly dilate to occupy an incommensurable space. Upon the first notes (or pulses??) of the opening track, ‘’KALL’’, this infinite abyss, envelops us and our dreams sink, dissolve, reinvent themselves…The sound propositions found on’’KALL’’ have enough movement and density to please the ones fond of depth in their music, but the overall ‘purified’ feel will please the most discerning purist. For the occasion, MONDES ELLIPTIQUES once again used the mastering talents of JOHN SELLEKAERS @ METARC and it is CHRISTIAN SALETTE who put his savoir-faire in our service for the design of the sleeve and images. Limited to 441 copies! Deluxe cardboard sleeve. Released on Angle Records.

BASTARDS OF LOVE "ROSES, SORROW, AND RED CANDIES"
NOW SHIPPING!!
Whether you're into emo, batcave punk, or good old analog electronics, Bastards Of Love has something for you! This one man band with a little help from his friends presents the truly amazing album Roses, Sorrow Red Candies. Tobi Margaux is like no one else, he just looks and sounds different from the usual, and shows how much fun that happens to be. A free thinking individual who knows how to create his own party, and it's a pleasure to be invited. Initially the romantic dance pop of "Love And Faith" was recorded to be a single hit on it's own, but while he was waiting for remixes, a rush of ideas just kept coming, and as Tobi asked Franck Lopez (of Opera Multi Steel and 3 Cold Men fame) to contribute his vocals and guitar on "Memorial", the intentions of Bastards Of Love began taking on an even wider range of genres that needed expansion in album format. A full 50 minutes were required to serve up these psychedelic ballads mixed with techno bodybeat floor fillers. Interestingly, despite having Liane M. as additional female vocalist on "About The Blue Sea", the now seemingly overused trendy combination of male vs female vocals managed to reach an even higher plateau!

We get a futuristic EBM battle cry with "Defeat/Control" plus a taste of Tobi as garage punk in "Redford For President" and a reminder of where the initial interest in the Bastards Of Love sound came from stated in "Mirror" (previously only on vinyl from EC records.) Finally there's an added bonus with the remixed interpretations of "Love And Faith" ranging between the harsh breakbeat industrial mix by People Theatre, and the smooth forlorn synthpop stylings of The Rorschach Garden. "Dark Channels" even introduces a Talking Drum to the cool instruments in Tobi's repertoire, and the result is some of the most exciting Electropop ever created. Bastards Of Love has stepped forward from the minimal retro of their last album "Decadance Royale" and taken a great leap into this carnival of delights. The cries of energy and emotion are wrapped up in a beautiful sleeve designed by tattoo artist Marek Najman, and smoothly produced for maximum enjoyment by Christian Piotrowski. Play it loud and fearlessly, oh brothers and sisters! Released on DejaVu.

Every track is a blaster, designed to reinforce the band..s standing within the music scene, as well as to push the frontiers of musical innovation even further than ever before!

A sonic invocation of darkened energies that could wake the dead, as well as put some much needed fire in the living! This album has it all! The band have stayed true to their subcultural Gothic roots, but have whole-heartedly embraced the power of new technologies and guitar approaches. Imagine Ministry, but with a darker Darkwave approach, fuelled by the ..Voice of the Unclean.. that is Trev Bamford, the sheet metal slabs of guitar riffola courtesy of Nick Hopkinson, and the Dark Lady herself, Estelle van Goth on the seductive and sinister synth washes.

An angry and groundbreaking CD. Every home should have a copy! Released on Nightbreed.
