OUR HOT PICKS FOR THE
WEEK
AMDUSCIA "MADNESS IN
ABYSS -
LIMITED
2CD"
Mexico attacks again! The other Middle American figurehead in Harsh
Electro has completed
works on its third album – and it is a hefty experience, indeed!
Harder and far more infernal than ever, “Madness In Abyss” crushes us with
rhythmic loops and pulsing beats while heavily distorted vocals
and whipping EBM-sequencers kick us in the face. Edgar,
Polo and Raoul have
left their basic sound, an industrial perversion of Techno and Trance,
intact but have
embedded them in more complex and intense, sample-heavy constructs, thus
banning the last
spark of light from their songs. The Mexican trio has kept
the clubs in mind as well, though, basing their Hardfloor
attack on straight beats combined with atmospheric
sounds capes that provide their aggressive sounds with a catchy edge.
The limited first edition comes in a Digipak and
contains a bonus disc that shows the trio from a different musical side
which is dominated
by extraordinary Dark Ambient tracks – the perfect sounds for a
mad trip into the insides of a psychopath. The aptly titled “Madness In
Abyss”
is by far Amduscia’s best and most mature release to
date. Released on Out Of Line
and
available October 24th, 2008.

HOT
PRE-ORDERS!!

CONTAINER 90 "WORLD
CHAMPION SHIT"
More than 20 years ago,
Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb kicked off a genre called EBM and became the
formative powers behind its sound. It is no secret that the EBM diehards
have
long been searching for new heroes that are willing and able to blow the
dust out of the clubs and well-kept record collections with a smashing
sequencer-based high-speed attack. At the moment there
seems to be only one group that can tackle this gargantuan task:
Container 90. Ron and Jon seem to have the essence of pure EBM
infused into their blood. For the two Swedes, these three letters do not
just stand
for a musical genre but for a whole way of life. Two years ago,
their self-produced “Scandinavian Masters” exploded into the hearts of the
flat
tops, stompers and pogo-freaks and their gigs quickly became sweaty
fun-battles with excessive physical
exertion. In short: the old school freaks were in for a mighty treat!
The duo’s concept is as unique as it is effective, as Container 90
are not giving a damn on listening habits, conformity and commerciality
and their sound,
deeply rooted in the Eighties, sports the same sort of
aggression and in-your-face attitude that we have come to know from
raunchy punk-
and hardcore bands. The brutal sound of mistreated analog machines, rude
shouts
and lyrics that show the establishment the finger (…but always with a hint
of
tongue-in-cheek humor) form an unholy alliance with an organic onslaught
of drums… you have
to
be deaf or lame
to not
be instantly hooked.
Lace
your boots and go marching to the “World Champion Shit!”

JARBOE "MAHAKALI -
LIMITED"
THIS VERSION IS LIMITED TO A ONE-TIME PRESSING OF 2500. DO NOT
WAIT!
JARBOE is a uniquely expressive voice—a
musician, an artist,
a personality. She draws from a variety of charged sources: her early
exposure
to snake-handling revivals in the Mississippi delta, parents who were in
the
FBI, her participation in a lounge act, experimental performance in
gallery
& live radio settings, and her 14-year career with critically
acclaimed New
York post-punk pioneers SWANS. A primary objective for JARBOE is to close
the
gap between audience and performer via complete submission and vicarious
experience through her performance. Her visceral vocals range from a shy
schoolgirl to sultry seductress to downright demonic; her delivery can be
at
turns innocent, knowing, seductive, and vitriolic. 'Mahakali' sees JARBOE
collaborating with a wide range of musicians including Phil Ansemlo
(Pantera,
Down), Attila Csihar (Mayhem, Sunn O)))), Colin Marston (Dysrhythmia,
Behold...The Arctopus), Josh Graham (Neurosis, A Storm of Light), and many
more
to create an alluring and provactive listening experience that has to be
heard
to be believed! Released on The End and available October 14th, 2008

AUTO AUTO
"CELESTE"
Face the facts: was there any
release in the Electro-sector in the past years that really brought
innovation
and a breeze of fresh air to the scene? Most of the so-called “modern”
acts kept
recycling concepts that are known to be successful while the grey
eminences
either stayed straight in line with the sound they were renowned for or
ventured
into territories that were so far away from their roots that the fans were
unwilling to follow. Two young talented guys from Sweden have now set out
to do
things a little differently and in many ways better: Auto-Auto. Left cold
by
current trends and removed from all conventional approaches, they are
creating
their very own vision of electronic Pop music that is refreshingly
easy-going,
highly club-compatible and pretty darn cool. Where others refrain from
breaching
certain barriers, Johan Hellqvist and Erik Frankel are plunging in
head-first
and are not afraid of incorporating rapped passages, analog minimalism and
heart-warmingly nonsensical samples into their sound. They are masters of
creating melodies that are catchy as hell without ever drifting into
banality.
In short: Auto-Auto are making Electro a one-of-a-kind experience,
combining the
lust for experimenting and an earnest approach to
an addictive mixture. The smashing, hellishly dynamic
sound was created by John Fryer (Depeche Mode, NIN.) Therefore: all you
Electro-junkies, hardliners,
diehards and dance aficionados, forget everything about the old scene
norms and give this album a
listen! Auto-Auto are rapidly expanding the sonic spectrum of the Out Of
Line universe and are showing a
brightly lit path into the future! Released on Out Of Line and
available October 24th, 2008.

STAR INDUSTRY "BLACK ANGEL
WHITE DEVIL
-
LIMITED"
Strong off the
detonating success of their last year’s 3rd studio album «Last Crusades»,
STAR
INDUSTRY now offer us a live album immortalizing unique moments from their
last
European tour. On stage is where STAR INDUSTRY had always felt at their
best. Their numerous, and always highly praised, performances across
Europe have established them as Belgium’s best gothic rock export to
date!
This amazing live recording in Madrid (Spain) brilliantly sums up the
band’s
appearances across Europe in the scenes biggest festivals (M’era Luna,
WGT,
Gotham, Eurorock, Dour, Carnival of Souls, Suikerrock, Alive, etc.),
sharing the
stage with bands like Front 242, Paradise Lost, Praga Khan, Sisters Of
Mercy,
Echo & The Bunnymen, Covenant, etc “Black Angel White Devil” combines
the
band’s timeless classic hits like ”Nineties”, “Ceremonial”, etc. with
their
most recent successes from the “Last Crusades” album like
“Out Of My Head”, “Pray” and their cover of Depeche Mode’s excellent
“Enjoy The
Silence”. This live album reveals a very mature and strong live act of
a band whose genius has consistently offered powerful gothic anthems,
extremely catchy
choruses, forceful song arrangements, intricate electronic loops, incisive
guitars, dark synth
lines and carrying drum patterns. With this new release, STAR INDUSTRY
confirms their
prominent position on the top of today’s gothic rock scene, putting
dust once and for all on old legends like SISTERS
OF MERCY, FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM or yet PARADISE LOST. A nice present to
the band’s ever growing fanbase before the release of their follow-up
album in 2009… Especially that
its limited edition includes a bonus CD featuring a remastered version of
STAR INDUSTRY’s debut album “Iron Dust Crush” with a bonus remix
of “Crush” by label mates ESSENCE OF MIND and another collaboration with

on a new version of

KRYSTAL SYSTEM
"UNDERGROUND -
LIMITED"
"Underground"…
Paris based act KRYSTAL SYSTEM could not have chosen a better title for
their
debut album! Their revolting music is led by a subconscious attraction
towards
darkness and mysticism profiling the French duo as a band
knowing no limits,
no taboo, no compromise… Their debut album reveals an extremely
diversified panel
of heavy electronics, catchy filtered female vocals, dynamic guitar riffs,
melodic synth sequences
with an overall indie rock feel. Bonnie (female vox, guitars) and N° 7
(male vox, synths & machines)’s alchemy results in an
eclectic combination of music genres ranging from dark elektro, cold wave,
industrial
rock and metal. Open your mind, try to imagine the impossible and
you will begin to understand what this French band is all
about: take LUSH’s sensual indie pop tone, a touch of BIRTHDAY
MASSACRE’s goth metal femininity, inject a dose of RAMMSTEIN’s heavy
guitar riffs and
straight attitude. Pour all these influences into a mélange of dark
elektro
sequences and upbeat electro beats, along with Bonnie’s provocative vocals
in French and English, and you are ready to
embark on KRYSTAL SYSTEM’s musical journey. 13 powerful dark underground
electro tunes with an
arsenal of outstanding highlights such as the viral “New World”, the sexy
“I
Love My Chains” , the vicious “Krystal Song” and the ultimate French
dark pop pearl “Demain n’existe pas”. KRYSTAL SYSTEM belongs to the
new futuristic gang of talented artists who certainly make it difficult
for journalists
to put a specific label on their music. Calling it, “electro
metal, industrial rock, cold pop or dark elektro with an
indie feel”…does not do it justice. The multi-facets that make up the
fabric of
KRYSTAL SYSTEM must be experienced firsthand! This French duo will find a
perfect place in the
Alfa Matrix family in between TRISOMIE 21, LEAETHER STRIP and I:SCINTILLA.
The
limited deluxe carton box edition of the album offers a bonus
9-track CD with remixes from bands like Implant, Essence Of Mind, Leaether
Strip, etc. and
the packaging also includes some
fan goodies. Released on Alfa Matrix and available November 14th, 2008.
