WEEK'S MUST-HAVE RELEASE
!
Â

MARILYN MANSON "THE HIGH END OF THE LOW - DELUXE
EDITION"
Produced by
Manson ,Vrenna, and Twiggy, The High End of Low was recorded in Manson’s
Hollywood Hills studio and also features the track, “I Want to Kill You
Like They Do In The Movies”. Of the new album, Manson says "I think my life
definitely ended and began. The record sounds very final, but it's almost
optimistic - though that feels like a strange word to use. It's a phoenix from
the fire and a redemption resurrection." Since emerging from South Florida in
the early 1990s, Marilyn Manson has continued to upend the mainstream with each
new release. The tumultuous relationship Manson has cultivated with the public
worldwide has resulted in multi-million records sales, sold-out tours, protests,
legal battles, hate, adoration, award-winning distilled spirits (Mansinthe) and
most importantly, a long
list of some of the most enduring and
genre-defying music in the rock era (“Lunchbox,” “Sweet Dreams,” “The Beautiful
People,” “Tourniquet,” “The Dope Show,” “This Is The New Shit,” “Mobscene,” “Heart-Shaped
Glasses,” etc.). Manson has sold over 1 million albums
in Canada. The first one’s always free… Beginning with a small, slow dose
on March 27 with “We Are From America”, the new era of Marilyn Manson and
The High End of Low begins now. Released

FLOORCLEARER "MALICIOUS"
Following up
from his 12" of the same name released last year on

sound since his early 12”s on Deathsucker and his own label,
Proboscus. There
are no fillers here, just
11 tracks of dancefloor devastation. Released on Noizetek and available May 15th,

***** NEWS FROM ARTOFFACT
RECORDS!
S.V.D
- NO ORDINARY MANÂ (DIGITAL-ONLY COMEBACK EP)Â

Having
released a single and debut album on Dependent Records, Vancouver’s S.V.D is
back this year with a digital-only EP that finds them in full form. Front-man
Steve Campbell is energetic as always and all six digital cuts tear it up.
Sonically, the band has progressed but this does not mean that they have left
behind the strong influence of their Vancouver predecessors, Skinny Puppy,
Frontline Assembly, and Numb. Electronic sounds mix with guitar sampling,
melodic vocals are tweeked by spoken-word stylistics. The result is slamming
industrial, Canadian style: check out 21st Century Mind and Dreaded Afterglow to
be convinced. Then come back and listen to the development, processed vocals,
trance elements, and addictive vibe of I Can’t Contradict. This little EP proves
S.V.D to be one of the most original and addicting acts in
Canada.
Orders
from the Artoffact Store will receive a special bonus: a download of the band’s
excellent video for their great song Wormwood.
Available May 5th, 2009.
1. No
Ordinary Man 2. 21st Century Mind 3. Dreaded Afterglow 4. Voyager 5.
