yes, I saw them may '89 on the green tour.
totally changed my record buying habits, that one.
absolutely incredible. I'm putting off going to
see them again in case they're not as good, and
they let me down...tho that's a bit unlikely(them
letting me down, not me going to see them)

I bought a REM t-shirt at that gig, and it's been
worn so much it's falling apart, so I can't wear
it anymore.

they were supported by blue aeroplanes, who were
just incredible. (i went out and bought their
record the following day). REM seem to pick good
bands as support, (grant lee buffalo for example)
