At sometime in the production of the 340 there were apparently three
stock options the customer could choose from. Option 1 added a Pedal
32' Bourdon, 8' Pedal Trumpet, and a 12 note celeste extension.
Option 2 added 16' and 4' piano (not sure where). Option 3 added the
Flute leslie adapter. While options 1 and 3 appear on mine (S/N
34346), I only have "half" of Option 3 with a 4' Piano available on
the Acc! No 16' piano appears anywhere.
Interestingly enough, the 340 seems to be "regaining" its popularity
due to the internet groups such as this one. And those who have
never heard of it seem to be most suitably impressed when hearing one
in person or via recording. George Kirkwood and team did a great job
building an instrument that has withstood the test of time very well!
