The Rainmakers Remaster Project has been initiated by myself -- a committed fan and collector since 1984 -- whose aim is to make available the best versions of recordings by Kansas City's The Rainmakers, concentrating on the 1982-1990 era. Wherever possible, I will be working from master or low generation tapes, restoring them as necessary using professional digital technology. I aim to achieve the best possible listening experience considering the analog nature of the original recordings.

RMRP remasters will only be available by a process of exchange between fans, and initially will be offered for download on Live Music Archive and snail-mail trades (through vines and weeds) on the RainmakersRemasters Yahoo group. They are not intended for commercial sale. Indeed I hope to make redundant the inferior versions of those recordings that have been commercially exploited in the past. In the process, I hope to introduce younger listeners to this music and give a feel for what it felt like to have been in the audience for one of the band's legendary performances.
