planes take off and land so loudly that the dialogue is nearly obscured. I
suspect that was intentional by the director.

Jay wasn't married at the time. He has two children, but they came later. I'm
told that the movie has been released on DVD in France as part of a Jacques Demy
Box Set. There might be plans to do so here in the States via Turner Classic
Movies. Go to their site, search for Model Shop, and vote that it be released.
