Reba McEntire's TV Role Similar to Life

NEW YORK - Playing a perky feisty young grandmother on her WB sitcom isn't a stretch for Reba McEntire (news) — she's one in real life, too.   

 

The country crooner and her husband and manager, Narvel Blackstock, have a 15-year-old son, Shelby, and Blackstock has three children from a previous marriage.

 

"Absolutely I am reaping the benefits," McEntire told The Associated Press recently. "I am totally in love with all my kids, grandkids."

 

McEntire said she makes no differentiation between their son and Blackstock's children, all of whom she calls "my kids."

 

She loves going back to Nashville when the house is filled with relatives — including the grandchildren, ages ten, two and one.

 

"We have the best time. We fill that house up," McEntire said. "We get there and we all park in the living room — toys everywhere and kids running and having the best time. It's wonderful."
