I'm sorry Rod:
No I was not at her show when her band when down, I do remember it
all too well.. I have her autobiography, along with televised
interviews, after the accident happened..
I get defensive "for personal reasons" when someone is bashing
Reba.. I have been a huge fan of hers for many years, but in 99 she
released her "Greatest Hits volume III – I'm A Survivor CD.. "I am a
survivor" that song hit home and helped me cope but, then when the
video to "What Do You Say" from her So Good Together CD was
released The video and song –boy did it touch a nerve and pulled me
through one of the most difficult time of my life..
You see I've had a seizure disorder all of my life.. Just about the
time the video to (What Do You Say) come out in 1999, I had been
through brain surgery – temporal lobe lobotomy that's why I said (I
am a survivor) but the video to (What Do You Say) is one that I hold
very dear..
"What do you say in a moment like this when you can't find the words
to tell it like it is, just bite your tongue and let your heart lead
the way" That's what I did, -- I bit my tongue and let my heart (my
doctors, my family and Reba's music lead me through one of the most
difficult times of my life..) "Sometimes you've got to listen to
the silence and give yourself a little time to think" `I didn't
have too much silence in the hospital' but (I sure had a lot of time
to think), with my head wrapped in gauze to keep the swelling down..
It's all over now, but that's a few reasons why I hold Reba so dear
to my heart.. My only wish is before I die I'd love to meet her in
person!!
Thank You all for letting me rumble on..
P.S. Please don't take my post # 871 personal..
