Then later that night
.
MN8* & OKAYPLAYER present Uptown Saturday Night -- An Old School Party
featuring DJ ?UESTLOVE with DJ Stylus & Priest Da Nomad (ALL AGES EVENT) --
After the Legendary Roots crew wreck American University's Bender Arena,
the party moves to the 9:30 Club where band's illustrious drummer will man
the turntables for another Adreniline charged DJ set. As a crate digger and
master mixer, ?uestlove's reach embraces the dancefloor with Old school
classics of Hip-Hop, Soul, R&B, and Reggae, along with a tinge of today's
greats. The last time that ?uestlove DJ'd in DC, Big Daddy Kane and Black
Thought ripped a freestyle to some relentless breakbeats. God only knows
what surprises ?uest has in store for this rare DC DJ appearance.
Laying the charges for a night of eargasmic eruptions is none other than DJ
Stylus of Soul Controllers (On air on WPFW on Thursday Nights - 10-11PM) &
the POEM-CEES (check his notorious mixes on www.vibeconductor.com). As
Stylus gets the dancefloor moving, Priest Da Nomad will hype the crowd and
also cameo some jams from his new CD, "Blue Collar Music 4 Everyday People."
