On behalf of myself, SPP Waxworks, and Capital City Records, I would like to
thank each and every person who came out last Saturday to the Hip Hop's
Independence Day in store concert and video shoot, as well as those who wanted
to but could not. The turnout was more than incredible, the performances by
Priest da nomad (w/ myself, DP of POEMCEES, and DJ Stylus of
POEMCEES)(www.priestdanomad.com), Oddissee (www.myspace.com/oddisee720), and
Prochi f/ DJ RBI were amazing and everyone who got on the open mic to start
things off really set it off lovely. Even Unknown got on and started rhyming.
We also got some great shots/footage for the video so we'll be sure to keep
everyone updated on that as we have now entered the editting stages. Much
respect to Malik Pollard of Mad Flavor TV fame for doing the shoot. Thanks to
everyone at WPFW's Decipher Hip Hop radio shows (89.3 FM, 11-midnight, Mon. -
Fri.) that helped to spread the word and/or came out. Lastly, I have to thank
both LK (http://www.myspace.com/lkmusic) and Judah (http://www.judahbeats.com/)
for the additional cd and DVD giveaways respectively. Make sure you pick both
of those products up if you don't already have it. God bless,Happy Holidays,
and we'll see you all next month.
