And (courtesy of Babel Fish - loving the translation of Blondie!), for those of
us who ne parler pas:

The plastic work of Alan Vega exposed to Lyon Alan Vega is especially known like
one of the pioneers of the electronic rock'n'roll minimalist as a cofounder,
with Martin Rev, of the mythical group "Commits suicide". However, with
beginning of the year 70, it is especially active in the New Yorkean artistic
scene as a plastics technician. Alan Vega made its studies in Brooklyn College
and it was interested initially in painting. Starting from end of the year 60,
its interest goes on the light and it creates its first "light sculptures".
Those are presented in the form of assemblies of various objects starting from
bulbs, lamps, televisions and neons to the forms and the various colors.
Anti-esthetics, anti-formal, its plastic work follows same the influences as
that which will characterize its music. In 1968, it founded the "Project of the
Alive Artists" (Project off Artists Living room). This loft of Manhattan, open
24:00 /24, became one of the first alternative places New-Yorkais held by
artists. Dedicated to all the artistic forms, the place quickly constituted a
springboard for artists and musicians such as the New York Dolls, Television or
Bleached.
