I always love this time of year, we have been on Easter Egg hunts and helped the
children with Easter related crafts, the house is filled with Daffodils and
Tulips, and chocolate!! It is of course traditional to have roast lamb for
Easter dinner, and with the whole family coming to us I have both a big joint of
lamb and a chicken---we have a couple of fussy eaters!! I'm preparing this meal
and thinking back to when Robby and Paul were staying with us last October. On
one of our days off from touring the UK, I put a chicken in the oven and we all
went off to the pub with our neighbours, only to come back to find our oven had
turned itself off ( never could master upmarket controls )we had no idea as to
where in the cooking process the chicken was, and our neighbours smoke alarm had
activated, her baked potatoes where burnt to a cinder!! A few days later Robby,
still under the impression I could cook, suddenly mentioned he loved roast lamb,
so his love was my command!! The full roast dinner of roast lamb, mint sauce and
piles of veg. disappeared within minutes of it coming out of the oven.
GREAT MEMORIES-------!
HAPPY EASTER.
