What you want to do is (presumably) filter out the MIDI commands that
turn on and off notes outside of the range of your Orchestrion. This
could be easily accomplished using the mapping features of MIDIOX and
something like MIDI-YOKE (both freely available) to route the MIDI
data. You might also consider 'folding' the lowest and highest notes
back into the range played by your orchestrion by shifting them up or
down an octave as appropriate. MIDIOX will do this for you as well.
Another technique would be to write a CAL application for Cakewalk to
do this to the MIDI file itself. Or of course if you are a programmer
you could write a custom utility to do the filtering/shifting.
