Hi,

I thought I would take a moment to introduce myself as I was just
approved as a member to this forum. I have been interested in and
playing fife and drum music for almost 30 years. I also restore drums
on occasion. I am a full time museum professional but my first love
pretty much remains 18th and nineteenth century military fife and drum
music.

I am interested in purchasing a beater of a drum shell only, solid, 16
dia by 12 deep or bigger for a player, to restore myself. Any ideas or
leads on how to aquire something like this? Any members have something
they would want to sell that meets thhis description? I surf the ebay
auctions like everyone else, but so far nothing just yet.

Thank you in advance and hope to meet some of you in person face to
face at some point. I will be playing with some friends at the
Gettysburg Remembrance Day parade in November if anyone else will be
there, and of course at O'Rourkes afterwards.
