Dear Mike and everyone else
Just thought I'd drop you a line (mostly for everyone else's benefit as Mike
knows where I am) to say hi, the plans for Rudgate this year look really great
and I hope they all come to fruition. Unfortunately I am one of the people who
isn't singing - for me an excellent reason in that I am working in Kosovo for
Save the Children at present and am likely to be here till 2003. It would be a
rather long journey to come back to sing. However I hope to be back in early
November on mid contract leave so with any luck will see you in Sheffield.
Out here there is no music, little electricity, little heating, sporadic water,
roads with huge potholes in, soldiers everywhere.... but I'm enjoying it in a
peculiar sort of way.
So good luck and enjoy the singing, think of me out here in some pretty dreadful
conditions as you enjoy your electricity and running water.
Best wishes
Carol
