I received this from an old friend and ex-Leeds Cathedral Choir Singer. I'm already spoken for, but if there's anyone else interested or if you know of anyone, please contact Paul [or Fra' Lawrence as he is now] directly. The clergy (of all denominations) on this list are, of course, exempt. :-)
Thanks,
Mike
Dear Mike,
How are you?! I hope you're well. As you may know I am now a novice with the Dominicans in Cambridge and we're desperately looking for singers to help with music for the Triduum next month! There's lovely Dominican and Roman Gregorian chant, some traditional NEH hymns and you can have free rein with regard to motets.
I'm thinking SATB - just one voice each minimum is all we require although more are very much welcome.
Will you be able to help?
We can pay you travelling expenses and
provide accommodation for the duration of the Triduum and of course you can all stay for longer if necessary to rehearse etc or just enjoy Cambridge.
Please do let me know ASAP either way. I really hope and pray something is possible. I know it's quite late, but do please see what you can do to help us. Thank you very much!
God bless.
Yours,
Fra' Lawrence Lew, O.P.
