I've failed miserably in trying to get an evening rehearsal, as there simply
haven't been enough of us on any one evening to make it viable. Never mind..
.. on now to plan B.
The church will be open from 4pm-ish and the priest, Fr. David Grant, has
kindly offered to put tea/coffee on for any who arrive about that time. What
I'd like to do before the main rehearsal with congregation at about 5.45,
say about 5 o'clock, is to have a run through of the Chants from the
Graduale. This of course doesn't affect anyone not singing chant other than
de Angelis.
For anyone else able to get to York next Saturday evening, my advice would
be to arrive by 5.45, as we have been given an excellent write-up in the
Parish Bulletin, so the church car park is likely to get full pretty early -
I hope!
