Hola Amigos,
That was a blast! The legendary Russian rock band Aquarium rocked
at the Dragonfly club in Hollywood on June 16, 2002. The
concert was a great success and has exceeded all expectations. The
band has named the L.A. concert its best show of the Summer'02 U.S.
Tour – no kidding! It was even more special for Aquarium to perform in
Los Angeles for the first time. Personally, I remember
a) BG's crawling on the stage
b) Wiped-out people hugging and dancing with a column at the club
c) The club's security guard (a big black guy with a flashlight who
*tried* keeping the crowd at bay) shouting to me "Man, that was a killer"
after the Mamonov's "Shuba Duba Blues" cover. A killer that was.
You can read a review about the concert and an exclusive interview
with Boris Grebenshikov in July issue of the Afisha magazine. In addition
to that, the most eloquent fans of the band have already posted their
kudos at this "official" Aquarium reviews site:

<b>Now</b>, we need your input in the form of cool <b>photos</b> (or even
videos?)
of the Aquarium concert. If you have some, please share them with us.
You can either send them to me, or upload directly to our "Photos"
section ("Photos/2002/Aquarium @ Dragonfy 6-16-02" album). You can
also send links to other places the pics are kept. Let me know in any case...
Thank you!
More concerts to follow: <b>"Chizh (þÉÖ) & Co"</b> is coming to Los Angeles in
October
2002.
Stay tuned, be cool, keep kosher.
