Good morning everyone!
And welcome to the last few hours of 2008. It's about 4am on the east
coast and I should be sleeping....but I'm sending this final email of
2008 to you guys and recalling everything that happened! (Eh, sleep
is overrated, right?) Honestly, where has this year gone??? At first
we start off playing the west coast for the first time, then the next
thing I know we're about to close out the year with a bang by playing
New Year's Eve in the Big Apple - New York City! It has certainly
been a fantastic year all around, though, and it wouldn't have been
possible without you guys coming out to the show and supporting LoCash
throughout the year. Even though I'm just the fiddle/mandolin player
(and IT guru) for them, it has me speechless with all that you have
done. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything.
As many of you know, I normally send out an email Christmas Eve or
Christmas Day (depending on how much I slack off) with Christmas
greetings. Unfortunately there were some computer and mailing list
issues that prevented that from going out. Thankfully, though, I got
it fixed just in time for the new year. However, if you checked the
website, you were able to find Christmas greetings and cheer on
there...in the form of website snow (cheesy...but cool) and festive
wallpaper! If you haven't seen it yet, then what are you waiting for
- check it out! I sincerely hope that you were to spend time with
family and friends during the holiday season and didn't let the hustle
and bustle of commercialism get you down. While getting and receiving
presents is nice, never forget the true meaning of Christmas and thank
God for the gifts that he has given you.
By now it's about 4:30pm and in just 17.5 hours, we will be hitting
the stage (and the airwaves) @ 10pm LIVE from Fox News Plaza in
wonderful New York City! If you can't be there in person (and I don't
blame you for not venturing into that insane crowd) you can watch it
from the comfort of your own home on Fox News Channel. Now, don't be
confused, this isn't the regular Fox network, it is Fox News. From
what I understand, we will be playing LIVE from 10pm to 11pm then they
will air a pre-recorded snipped between 12am and 1am. So be sure to
set your VCR...er...DVR's to RECORD because this is probably one of
the biggest (if not THE biggest) show we ever have done. Not to
mention we will probably be asking you for a copy. :-P So be sure to
tune in!
Finally, the 2009 touring schedule is posted on the web and will
probably be growing every day! That means you should check back often.
I hope you all have a great new year's celebration, whether it's out
with friends or in the coziness of your own home.
See you down the road,
