Realizing that it's been a while since any news has come out of the TWERP offices, I figured it was time to give everyone an update on our programming and let everyone out there know that we're still hard at work. I will divide things up by our productions:
Star Trek: Eras -
As many of you know, Joan Hallaron (who voices Violetta Knorre on our show, as well as being wife to Jerry and mother of Beth, Ken and Matt) had a nasty health scare back in January and February. I am very pleased to announce, though, that she is back home and making a steady recovery, much to the joy of us all. This, of course, absorbed all of Matt's concentration, followed quickly by a need to move and an impending job hunt. The reason I share all this is to explain why production on Eras has been put on hold for the past several months. As soon as things level out for Matt, he will be diving back to work and will get Act 3 of "Yours, Mines and Ours" completed. Thanks for bearing with us.
Recording for our fourth episode "Tough Decisions" has been completed and I have been trying to make good use of my time doing the preliminary edits on the episode in preparation of handing it over to Matt for sound effects and music. This episode not only marks the debut of two new actors in lead roles, but also features Tommy Gauthier, the winner of thte auction for charity at last year's WindyCon. Doug and I have also been doing some writing on a couple more episodes, so work is still progressing on the series.
TWERPcast -
Our monthly (sort of) podcast is the easiest of our shows to work on, and are therefore the ones you get the highest quantity of. Doug and I will be recording our twelfth episode later today - CardCast - and it will hopefully be released by the end of the month (knock on wood).
IMWAN 4 -
Our new superhero show, created by James Taylor, is still in post-production. Erick is hard at work on doing the sound editing, having turned in a great sounding first act. Unlike Eras, we will be holding off, however, and release the show in its entirety upon its completion. We have also brought on a new composer to take some of the strain off Matt's shoulders, and Jason Feder will be putting music to this fun episode. We'll let you know about the release date once we get a better idea of when we'll be finished.
Derrick Geist -
The newest of our series, Geist is half way through recording on our first episode, with several new voices joining us for the first time. Once all of our recording is finished, I'll be diving head first into the preliminary editing, then passing it off to Justin Bills for sound effects and mixing. Jason will also (hopefully) be tackling the music for this show as well. As you can tell, we have several more steps in the process on this show, but we're certain it will be worth the wait. The second episode is written and edited, waiting to be distributed to our actors once recording on episode one is completed, and I've started writing on episode three, so we're looking forward to this being another expansive and intriguing series.
So, as you can tell, we are still hard at work here at TWERPs, and we thank you for sticking with us and your continued patience as we work towards providing you with high quality sound entertainment.
