if you liked james hunters' sam cooke fronting ray charles/ james brown
bands sounds circa 1961, then leighton jones( a thousand roads) is
another chap from across the pond you'll probably love. mr. jones
channels yankee-soul sounds of the 70's in a smooth, easy on the ears
style. "sweet pictures of you" has hit written all over it.grab your
honey and get to know this warm & fuzzy, cute & cuddly, makin' bacon
music.
then there's ryan shaw(this is ryan shaw). here's a young black man -
27 years old-that reintroduces 60's soul/rb to the new millenium. this
is no parody, no quick run through of meek imitation. the takes on
jackie wilson (satisfied) & the valentinos (lookin for a love) will
make you forget the originals.....the lad can flat out sing. other
tunes are right out of AM rock n soul radio, but with 21st century
sonic qualities. both discs are fun, quality stuff. boogaloo baby!
