Concert Series gives back to Houston Hispanic Community

(Houston - December 27, 2005) The producers of, "Tu Musica en la
Plaza" AKA "Party on the Plaza", the hottest Latin weekly party in
downtown Houston, will hold a check presentation at the Hard Rock
Café in Downtown Houston. Despite a difficult fall season due to
hurricanes Rita and Katrina, proceeds from "Tu Musica en la Plaza" in
2005 amounted to a contribution of approximately $22,000 to Hispanic
Charities in the Houston area. The charities who received donations
are the Texas Hispanic Peace Officer's Association (THPOA) and the
Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF). Other organizations that received
small contributions are The Houston Salsa Dancers and Sharpstown High
School. "Tu Musica en La Plaza" also facilitated fundraising efforts
for UHD's Marketing Association, they were able to raise over $3000
for their organization in 2005.

The producers of "Tu Musica en La Plaza" would like to thank the
following sponsors: Anheuser Busch Inc., Arzalta Inc, Latino Access
Inc., Silver Eagle Distributors L.P., Univision 45, Telefutura 67,
Tejano 980 AM, K-LOVE 106.5 FM. Without their continued support, "Tu
Musica en La Plaza" would not have been possible.

Check Presentation to HSF & THPOA:

Place: Hard Rock Cafe, 502 Texas Avenue (Downtown) in the Texas Room.
When: December 29th, 2005
Time: 5:15PM – 6:00 PM

** Refreshments and Appetizers will be provided.

For over 11 years, "Tu Musica en la Plaza" aka "Party on the Plaza"
has contributed over $260,000 in scholarships for Houston Latino
students through various local and national Latino charities by
celebrating the culture, music and food of Houston's Latino community
in a weekly concert series free to everyone 18 and up held in the
heart of Houston's downtown theatre district. "Tu Musica en la Plaza"
is the largest weekly concert series in Texas attracting more than
3,800 Latinos each week to Jones Plaza in the spring, summer and fall
seasons.
