That file attachment didn't come through, but I'd like to see it. (I don't
think Yahoogroups accepts attachments, though I could be mistaken.) Are you
willing to send the text to the list? I have to admit, I'd be most curious
as to how that song would come out in Spanish.

The Google version is certainly not singable - I had my doubts as to its
accuracy, but my Spanish is pretty rusty. All the same, I've been wary of
"easy" translations ever since Gordon Sumner translated "Nothing Like The
Sun" as "Nada Como El Sol" instead of "Nadie Como El Sol."

Blessings & good faring,

Gereg

FOTHERINGAY
Sandy Denny

How often she has gazed from castle windows o’er.
and watched daylight passing within her captive wall,
with no one to heet hercall.

The evening hours is fading within dwindling sun,
and in a lonely moment those embers will be gone
and the last all the young birds flown.

Her days of precious freedom, forfeited long before,
to live such fruitless years behind a guarded door,
but those days will last no more.

Tomorrow at this hour she will far away,
much farther than these islands,
or the lonely Fotheringay.
