The beauty of being Madhubala is that this willowy pari is no more and
no less, in this very week of February each year. Madhubala, were she
living today, would have turned 66 on February 14. But then Madhubala?s
aura derives from the fact that she died when she did 30 years ago.
For long did the film?s dreamer-director, K Asif, debate with his
minions whether Madhubala should live or die in the end to which he, at
long last, brought Mughal-e-Azam. The consensus among his crew was in
favour of Madhubala?s ?doing an Anarkali? ?- being entombed alive a la
