Leak lighting an EEb contrabass sarrusophone

I've used a leak light on a sax, but a contra sarrusophone presents
some unique problems due to the multiple bends. I have been
considering using a "rope light", a series of small lamps inside a
plastic tube. aAny ideas on this would be appreciated.
