The CC is actually not a sarrusophone, but a reed contrabass
(contrabass a anche). The shape of the bocal is distinctive, as is the
absence of RH "palm" keys (the keys for Bb, alternate C, and high D).
If the pictures included the left thumb keys, you would immediately see
the difference. Also, notice that all of the pads are closed: on the
reed contra, only the lowest pad stands open, and each other key opens
only one pad (which is sufficient for any given note).
